Restart the Printer
The first troubleshooting solution that you need to follow to resolve the error code is to restart the printer. Many times, restarting a device can help in fixing the bugs and other technical glitches.
Clear the Print Queue
If the print queue is uncleared then it can result in a problem with the printer. You need to check if there is a pending print queue and clear it. Go to the setting of the printer and then see the printing queue in the task. Then clear the pending print jobs and run a test print to see the error is fixed or not.
Uninstall and Reinstall the Drivers
If the drivers are not updated or are corrupted then it can result in error code 016302 in Dell printers. To check whether the drivers need an update go to the start > control panel > hardware and sound > Open the Dell printer > Select uninstall. Once the driver is uninstalled you must download and install the latest version of the driver. Once the drivers are installed restart the computer and then check if the error is fixed.
Resetting the Ink Cartridge
One of the major reasons why this error may occur in your Dell printer is because of an issue with the cartridges. Take out the ink cartridges very carefully. Then switch on the printer and wait for a minute and then turn off the printer. Now, insert back the cartridges very carefully. Run a print test to see if the error culminates.
